וַתִּשְׁלַ֤ח אִיזֶ֙בֶל֙ מַלְאָ֔ךְ אֶל־אֵלִיָּ֖הוּ לֵאמֹ֑ר כֹּֽה־יַעֲשׂ֤וּן אֱלֹהִים֙ וְכֹ֣ה יוֹסִפ֔וּן כִּֽי־כָעֵ֤ת מָחָר֙ אָשִׂ֣ים אֶֽת־נַפְשְׁךָ֔ כְּנֶ֖פֶשׁ אַחַ֥ד מֵהֶֽם׃
Nagpadala si Jezebel ng isang sugo kay Elias upang sabihin: “Ganito nawa ang gawin ng mga diyos, at higit pa rito, kung bukas sa ganitong oras ay hindi ko gagawin ang buhay mo na gaya ng buhay ng isa sa kanila!”
